I should have stayed home today

It all started because I wanted a cup of coffee this morning (damn my caffene addiction), I got to the train station and instead of waiting in the waiting room I decided that I would give the cafe a little business so I went into to have a cup of coffee. It is really nice and warm in the cafe and it was cold and snowy out this morning (it's still cold and snowy out tonight) so when the train started to approach the station I waited as long as I could. When I finally went out I saw the 2nd car from the back and went toward that door. When the doors opened something was odd, "where was Jim?" I thought to myself. "I must have the wrong car, I should go back one". When I got to that car i noticed that I was orignally in the correct car and that Jim was not on the train today. So I decided that I would get off at Jefferson Park and then get on the correct car with Cathy, Edith, Tina and Joel. So I did that and the feng shui was way off! But, we made the best of it. The rest of the train ride was not too bad but still, not a good start to the day.

What's been going on

For those of you that look everyday for new updates I am sorry that I have not been writting everyday. There have been some good conversations one that sticks out to me was from the other day when Don told us about the tradition in the U.S. Navy of becoming a Shellback. You become a Shellback when you cross the equator and go through a very gross and elaborate initiation process.

The process consists of the sailor having to negotiate different obsticles such as, crawling through a trash shoot where the trash bags are open, drinking lemonade out of a toilet, and finding Neptune's baby (this is the worst if you ask me). Finding Neptune's baby refers to the crew finding the biggest, hairiest guy on the ship and greasing him up and having the sailor get a cherry out of his bare belly button with his teeth. GROSS!!!!!

In other news, the squierrl that was mentioned early has lost his (or her) grip. There was a proper burial in Joe's yard.

Also we will have a new train conductor next week as Don wil lbe out for a bit. So we are hoping that we get someone that we know and like.

Oh another conversation that sticks out (and is not gross) is that of Don's hot sauce. He made his famous hot sauce and gave it to Tina to take home to her husband. Tina reported back that the hot sauce was in fact hot and had really good flavor. Don said that he does make milder and hotter sauces.

Well that's all for now. Stay tuned for more interesting convo's :)
